Look for referrals of locksmiths that you have actually used. I had the front door locks replaced and they rekeyed it to my old key - turns out the edges aren't sharp enough to get more keys cut from. I have 3 outer doors, all w/door locks and deadbolt locks and want them rekeyed - the only company I know of is Baldino and a friend told me they are expensive but I can't find reviews of other companies that are out there (not that I want a stranger in the house at this time) - but after locking myself out of my house - think the best option is to have keys given to trusted neighbors.

Balconies, while higher priced, get all my business, both personal and professional. If your location is accurate, give Chris at their Duke St location a call. If you have the ability to remove the locks and bring them in, he can do everything (typically cheaper) in the shop , vs them sending a tech to your house

After moving in June I called around for locksmiths to rekey the doors. I found it was way cheaper for me to just go to home depot and get 4 sets of knobs/deadbolts and replace them myself. Took me about an hour and about $70 versus $280 for a locksmith to come out and just rekey.

I called up Baldinos and also pro-keys. Pro-keys seemed knowledgeable and talked to me for a while and I would have probably gone with them if it wasn't so much cheaper for me to do it myself. It really took just a screw driver to do it, but of course I used an impact driver to make things faster.

Thanks (couldn't rep. you again) - replacing myself isn't an option. Maybe I should ask neighbors for recommendations for a handyman/woman and see how that would go.

Yes a handyman or woman could replace locks pretty easily. Took about 15m per door. All the holes are already drilled so the hard part is already done.
