We have a service station that we totally trust: The Shell Station at Duke & Pickett St. (Alex.) - we've also used Michael & Sons and have liked their work as well for home repairs.
We are currently in a "situation" w/a home improvement company that I would NOT recommend but for possible legal reasons I won't post that name.

Bowmans for heating and air conditioning (in Sterling).
Ashburn Service Center for car related issues (in Ashburn Village).
Cafe Opera for great chinese food (in Broadlands/ Ashburn).
Smith Roofing for a well priced good quality roof (in Arlington or Alexandria).
Valley Cycle Center for motorcycles, ATVs, etc. (in Winchester).
I have had great experiences with all these companies. I'm sure I'll think of more...

for dry cleaning- Same price $1.95 drycleaning on Duke St in Alexandria
black barbershop- Touch Up in Landmark Mall
Chinese food- hong kong express in Foxchase
Burgers- Five Guys on King St by NVCC

We'll have to check the Chinese food place out (Foxchase), even though that's closer to me, we've always gotten from Good Taste on Van Dorn. Thanks for the tip. |

There's a Chinese place on 50, in Falls Church called Miu Kee. The traditional Cantonese dishes are great. That has to be one of the best in town because the Chinese business owners go there to eat.

Big Buns in Rosslyn is the best - better than 5 Guys!
Tasteful Delight in Pentagon Row has the best Chinese Takeout
Freddie's on 23rd Street in Arlington has the best karoke (sp?)
Clyde's in Alexandria (off of Beauregard) has the best wings
Aladdin's in Rosslyn has great middle eastern food
Rockland's BBQ in VA Square has great BBQ
Iota Cafe and Witlow's on Wilson have great music
..and I like the word "great" |

Gotta try BB but until further review 5 guys is the best.
