I know that this seems like this sort of belongs in the politics section, but to President Barack Obama: We're the reason why you turned Virginia blue tonight for the first time since LBJ - and you are welcome! Does anyone else feel this way, whether you supported him or McCain?

Now to Pres. Obama, a good present to Northern VA, for starters, would be some rail through a major business district and an international airport

Hold on, now. Northern VA cant take all the credit. Hampton Roads (my home area) gave him a big boost too. Obama owes the 757 too.

Northern VA can't take all the "credit." There's a lot of blue all over the map... well, mostly in the eastern part of the map. Obama got almost 1.8 million votes in Virginia, 500,000 of them came from the "blue" areas of Nova (Fairfax, Arlington, Prince William, Loudon, Fairfax city, Alexandria, Falls Church, Manassas, Manassas Pk). Lots of Obama votes came from the Norfolk and Richmond areas and rural counties throughout the state.

Being a native of Virginia, I was excited to see the results come in last night. I'm optimistic that we're in for a great 4 years ahead. Thanks for voting, Virginia!

And not touch the defense jobs, the government contracting jobs, Freddie and Fannie jobs.

And can we get the metro out to Tyson's Corner too? That'd be helpful. :P

There is no way I'm the only one who wasn't into the Obama run in this state- the race was very close. I have zero against what race he is and what he seems to want (change) but I cannot embrace a socialist future...

You might want to start since the decision is now made
