I used to like Pho75 in Rosslyn, but Minh's is much better. It's further up on Wilson blvd. They also have other items on top of the great pho. www.minhrestaurant.com

I went to this one new place the other day, thought I would try a new place...

It sucked. They like cooked the white onion in butter and then put it in the soup and it was way too thick...first time I have ever had crunchy onions in my pho'...I could seriously taste the butter and the soup in general just tasted really oily.

Duangrat's has been there a long time and is reputable. The lunch menu seemed way too high. I ate Pad Thai five times a week in Chiangmai this summer for 57 cents a pop. It's quite difficult for me to justify 8.95 ++ in Alexandria. Bangkok 54 had a separate lunch menu that included a real fresh salad (even in the Winter). Lunch for two was well under 20. Service was great. too.

How many fat Thais do you know? Pad Thai is 700 calories and real satisfying. I lost 40 pounds in 6 months. A 4.5 mile walk around the medieval moat after lunch helped, too.
