Default Need more info on Newington Forest Elementary in Springfield, VA
I'm looking at a house that feeds into Newington Forest Elementary and I have three children who would go to that school. One has developmental delays and so I am very curious about the special education program. Does anyone know anything about the school and/or the area around it?

There are a lot of Section 8ers in those more affordable townhomes off of Northurmberland and Rolling. I used to deliver for Welcome to Maleks' and it was definitely like the Planet of the Apes at some of those places.

I don't have any direct experience with this school. In case you haven't seen it, here's the school profile on the FCPS web site:

It appears that all or virtually all students at this school are currently zoned to go on to South County Secondary School.
