Unfortunately, I find most places hit or miss. I was hoping to find some "secret" place here, LOL.

Chart House I think is overpriced for the quality, but the view is nice, King Street Blues is "okay" food, Theismanns used to be good food for a decent price, but now it's overpriced and basic (if that) quality. Another place: we've had excellent wings one time, but before that - couldn't even eat them.

I'd love to hear about consistently good food and atmosphere somewhere.

In the DC area a find that most of the time, places that deliver are ethnic restaurants.
Usually small, and not well known unless you are looking for them.

They do not have to be expensive or have locations in fancy areas, they just deliver!

My favorite restaurants in Old Town are Restaurant Eve, Majestic Cafe, Vermillion, or Villa d'Este.

If I'm on a budget, I would check out Cafe Salsa, Ecco Cafe, Southside 815, Red Mei, La Piazza, or Stardust.

I haven't tried Hank's Oyster bar, but I've heard good things. Landini and Le Gaulois are OK.

If I was in the mood for tapas, I would avoid the many tapas places on King St. and take the metro to Crystal City for Jaleo.

Oh yes Eve is great! I believe the person that owns Eve's also owns Majestic Cafe and Eamonn's (a fish and chip place). My understanding is his daughter's name is Eve and his son's name is Eamonn.

Ecco Cafe was good, it is no longer there, (had it relocated in Old Town?) now there is a restaurant called Overwood where Ecco used to be. We ate there this weekend and it was pretty good.
