Like I mentioned, I am looking to rent to start with. I am looking for 3 bedroom home and My budget is around 1500/month.

I found some 3 BR townhouses in Burke for $1500 on a real estate web site. Unfortunately, $1500 is pushing it for a 3 BR home, and these neighborhoods will not be as "nice" as others in Fairfax County. If you want a SFH, you will probably need to go out beyond Fairfax County.

I thought maybe the Lake Ridge area (zip 22192), but all I am seeing are townhomes in the $1500-$1650 range.

If not Fairfax, are there areas around Fairfax where we could find SFH for rent for 1500/month?

To get a SFH for $1500, you will need to look in Prince William County or beyond. Arlington, Alexandria, and Falls Church will all be at least as expensive as Fairfax for a home suitable for a family. To give you some sense of the market, many people pay $1500 to rent a 1 BR apartment in Fairfax and other closer-in locations.

Thanks for your input; based on which I checked the rentals in Manassas/Woodbridge area and I am able to find 3 bd around the range I am looking for.
Could you please suggest if one area better than other or there are any other area in PWC which I should look into?
