If you are single, I suggest trying to find a roommate. My daughter and her friend are graduating from college in May and will be moving in with a friend who is already here. One of her friends graduated last year and shares an apartment with a colleague who moved here from out-of-state right after graduation. (For women especially, I think this is safer than living alone as well.)

Default Vasinger

Vasinger,
Thanks for your advice, but I have been thinking about moving out of Richmond for a long time. It is a good place to raise children, unfortunately there isn't much to do here for a single person. My friends and I usually travel to the DC areas for fun. Not Good. Why should anyone have to travel 1 hour and a half for fun. It's time to move. The cost of living in Northern Va is what's holding me back. It's high.

Hello,

You might want to look into the Fields of Alexandria on N. Quaker Lane prices are good and there is a Sheriff on the premises.
