Default My sugestion, stay away from ADT

We almost had a nightmare with this company, I feel lucky to cancel very deceitful, crappy customer support, don't answer questions straight, totally binding contract, and more hidden expenses, ask them about the annual check up, cost for each visit, how to cancel thier contract?

You know Rich, those types of things are my concern as well. I'm really not sold on the whole Home Security system thing. There are contracts, dedicated phone line, hidden fees etc.. I think it's a scam. You can get some good guns and ammo instead.

I know this will sound odd, but the best home security system is not one dog, but two dogs. This is what the police even say works well. Not foolproof, but if you like dogs it would be good. Just suggesting a non electronic alternative.

There are any number of types of security systems to choose from. Anything from one camera that you can place anywhere and later plug into your tv to view up to a system that has 12 or more cameras with it to watch all over you home or office at anytime.

We use ADT and have had very good service. Our smoke detection system is also connected to it which resulted in a $250 per year savings on our homeowners insurance.
