Need to find home owners and auto insurance-new to area
Hi all. I will be making settlement on house in Springfield. I need to find get a home owners and auto policy. Not sure who is good around this area.
My realtor mentioned Nationwide, and while I haven't called the gentleman yet that she referred me to, I use to have Nationwide when I lived in Philadelphia, PA and I was hit from behind. I did not like how they handled my case (not believing I was actually injured).
In any case, based on reputation and affordability, do you have recommendations??
Also, I do have AAA..never looked into their rates...

I use Geico for both, actually Geico turns home insurance over to Travelers.
I have handled multiple auto claims with Geico, and they handled it well.

well, rate depends on a number of things (coverage, drivers record, location)
I have also used Liberty Mutual for auto, but geico beat them cost wise, and I made the switch about 4 years ago

We have Erie and are extremely happy with them. Let me know if you want the agency phone number and some names.
