Default Around Alexandria - Walkable Both Elementary and Middle Schools from Rental Apartments

Hi,

I will be relocating to Alexandria,VA.

My Kids are now in 4th and 7th grades.

I am looking for public schools both Elementary and Middle
which are walkable distance to rental apartments.

I am willing to travel within 30 minutes from Alexandria.

Are there any schools which are having Elementary and Middle
schools together or near to each other.

Thanks,
Shashi

I notice that you had an identically-worded post four minutes later substituting "Oklahoma City" for "Alexandria." Why is that?

As of Today I am not sure whether I am going to relocate to Oklahoma City or Alexandria,
which will be decided in this week during our office project meeting. Based on the project
requirement I need to relocate to either one city.

Thanks,
Shashi

I see you posted this a while ago. I will attempt an answer. the short answer is no. Alexandria's two middle schools are not within easy walking distance of any elementary schools. There are apartments in the southern part of Alexandria's Delray neighborhood that are 7 or 8 blocks from Maury Elementary School and 2 or 3 long blocks from George Washington Middle. However, that neighborhood is within the attendance zone of another school which is much further away. Use the pdf in this link as your guide. I am very familiar with the City of Alexandria and its schools and I can't think of an apartment complex that will meet your criteria.

Are you moving to alexandria in fairfax county or its close neighbor alexandria city? If it's the latter, I would recommend renting from brookville townhomes www.brookvilletownhomes.com and your kids could attend James K. Polk Elementary School (Grades K-5) 5000 Polk Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22304 Tel: 703-461-4180 Principal: Michael D. Brown and Francis C. Hammond Middle School (Grades 6-8) 4646 Seminary Road, Alexandria, VA 22304 Tel: 703-461-4100 check the website ACPS: Schools Both schools are within walking distance.
