Wink Moving to virginia need help!!!!!!

I am considering moving to Virginia for a job opporunity, but know little about the area. I would be working in Quantico and I am curious where i should live. I have been cosidering stafford, but are there better choices? i would probably be renting at first but then buying a house. I dont have children yet but are planning on it, so i would like somewhere with good schools. I would appreciate any suggestions thanks.

What would your housing budget be? Are you looking for an apartment, TH, or SF?

I think renting in Stafford and commuting to Quantico is a great idea. I think you'll find Stafford affordable and, by renting, you aren't locking yourself into anything. While you're renting, you can take a look at other areas that are within a reasonable commuting distance to see how you like them. You may consider moving north of Quantico to Dumfries, Montclair, Woodbridge and getting a reverse commute. By living in Stafford, the only downfall is that you will be going "with" the traffic to and from work, albeit a short distance.

There are lots of new homes sprouting up around Qauntico as well..SFH,TH, CONDOS...And lots of houses for sale at prices not seen around here for a few years. Stafford, Woodbridge and Dumfries have all been hit hard so there are opportunities if you want to try and buy..
