Welcome to the area! Did you find a contractor to build your deck? I am a local, licensed contractor myself. Not all of us perform the same caliber of work. My neighbors hired a local contractor to build their deck and walkway but have had considerable problems with workmanship, responsiveness, etc.

Anyone know any AC repair folks out here? One of my AC units has quit working and it's only 5 years old!

Just have Nancy Pelosi breathe some ice through the ventilation ducts in your home for an hour or so, and you'll be nice and refreshed! LOL!

In all seriousness though I would check to see if your unit is still under warranty. Five years is an awfully QUICK period of time for a central air conditioning unit to break down. My parents have had central A/C now since 1999 with no problems.

Yes, it is under warranty. Thanks.

Your parents have only had AC since 1999? Wow.

AC units normally last about 15 years, like so many other household appliances.
