Can anyone please refer to me a good and safe community in Woodbridge? I am moving from New York City and seeking a nice quiet and safe town with 2 small children with close access to malls, stores, etc.

Thanks.

You will want to move quickly the drive will kill you! Check out County Center Crossing Apartments off the Prince William Parkway near Ruby Tuesday's and I agree Dominion Middle Ridge Apartments on Old Bridge Rd in LakeRidge. I have lived and worked in this area for 25 years after relocating from Update NY myself now I have my whole family relocated here.

I too am relocating and find these post very helpful. I am confused though as one real estate agent assigned through the relo company keeps pushing Stafford are and I will be working in Le'Fant Plaza. She also does not speak very highly of the Dale City area.

Thanks everyone for sharing.

There is a lot of Dale City I would avoid but not all of it. Driving from Stafford to DC will be very tough but of course it will be from Prince William Co as well.

I'm surprised a real estate agent would do that. I think that's very unethical in their business. There are pockets of Dale City that are very old and low income and other areas that are absolutely fine.

Hi, I've learned a lot since scrolling through these forums, I would love some advice.
I will be working at Ft. Belvoir and have 3 dogs, I am trying to get neighborhood recommendations (home or attached, townhome, etc.). Right now it will be me +dogs, in 2yrs or less, It will be me +1 and baby, and dogs. I accept that there will be a commute. I want an area where I can find something that is $1800, w/ garage and yard. I am from Texas so I don't need to be walking distance from anything, but I'm not opposed to that either. Safety is important, parks would be a plus. Anyadvice would be appreciated, whether here to sent to my email (lingobuddy@yahoo.com) Thanks for any advice.

The Riverside Station apartments are a good choice. Very quiet, secure, the VRE is right there (we take it in to visit Alexandria/DC), and they are 5min from the Stonebridge complex with Wegmans, Starbucks, etc plus the new Apple store. Lots of safe walking, too.
