saratoga square apartments in springfield (Arlington, Fairfax: apartment complex, rental, home)

Hey,

I have been searching high and low for a positively rated apartment complex in the Springfield area for about a month now and the closest thing I could find is the saratoga square signature apartments (Van Metre Apartments - signature rental communities in the Washington DC, Fairfax county, Arlington va, dc beltway and northern Virginia area for rent or lease.).

Unfortunately there is a weird occurrence on their ratings (Saratoga Square Apartments Ratings, Reviews, Map, Rents, and other Springfield apartments for rent from ApartmentRatings.com) Which another poster pointed out.

I was wondering if anyone would mind telling me anything they know about this complex?

There are lots of illegals living there. It could still be "doable," but you've been warned. It's a lot nicer than Rt. 1.

I was online to get the maintenance number for Saratoga Square where I currently live and saw these emails. Clearly the person who posted the comment about illegals is not well informed and maybe a racist. I'm not a citizen of the United States (therefore have no SSN as of yet) but was required to show my passport with valid Visa to show that I am able to earn and income here as well as meet the requirement for my $1700 a month rent. I was referred by a co-worker who lives here as well and very much enjoys it too.

I love this place! It's a fantastic place for my home away from home. It has been a very welcoming to someone who is not only new to Virginia but to the US. The accomodations are more than what this person said "doable". I very much hope they don't live here because I wouldn't want someone who would make such a comment as a neighbour.

Kind of off-topic here, but how can you work without getting a SSN? Your visa alone does not authorize you to work in USA.... you have to apply for SSN ASAP and meanwhile your employer gives you a job based on your documents till you get the SSN.

In USA, if you get work authorization, you are entitled to get SSN.... H1, L1, whatever the visa is.... since you do have to pay taxes.
