Default Manassas - Johnson Estates?

Hi Everyone!
I was wondering if could get some input on Manassas, more specifically Johnson Estates? I currently live and work in Fairfax, but the rent on my townhouse is just becoming outrageous...so I'm trying to find a solution. My credit score isn't the greatest (I work full time but am also a full time student, so my credit cards are maxed out) so I'm trying to find non-traditional options such as a land contract or lease/purchase. I was told that there may be a few of these available for SFH's in Johnson Estates. I lived in Manassas about 10 years ago, but don't know much about how it's changed since the housing boom/bust, etc. So, could someone give me some insight into the area?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know much about the Johnson Estates, but here's a novel idea - why don't you wait until you can actually afford a traditional mortgage? Did we learn nothing from the current economic crisis? If your credit cards are maxed out, I would say just wait a bit - we bought our house when we had a LOT of credit card debt and, while we're doing just fine, it can get stressful. Be careful!
