Default Lofts for RENT in Virginia? Help!

Hi All! Newbie here.

I currently live in Silver Spring, MD, in a tiny studio (utilities included) which cost me about 1050 a month. I am looking to move into a loft or loft-style apartment within the next year someplace in Northern VA (close to DC, where I'll be working.)

My question: WHERE are the reasonably priced lofts in VA? Or VA apartment buildings with a few loft-style units? I'm hoping to pay no more than 1350 a month.

Any suggestions?

Thanks guys
Oubs

There are a few lofts in VA but they aren't "real" lofts in the NYC sense and they certainly aren't cheap. Lofts 590 in Crystal City and Sullivan Place in Landmark are the only buildings that come to mind that include lofts (both are expensive), but I'm sure there are other ones in the Arlington area- probably a few in the Rosslyn/Ballston corridor.

Hmmm. Maybe I'll start looking in the Ballston area? Thanks, Pcity.

Also, you think I'd have better luck looking for a loft-style place in Maryland (preferably NOT Bmore)?

You could try Shirlington (part of N. Arlington). I vaguely remember seeing lofts for rent, although it might be a rental for a privately-owned condo.
