It wouldn't be sitting on the table. It would be sitting in its owner's holster. You may not even notice it unless you looked at their waist.

I would feel safer if I knew someone with me was carrying a gun.

What makes you think that they know the area well?
I wonder why the van left, and then returned? Sounds like they saw the couple, drove by them, then decided to return and do something with them. Perhaps they intended to rob them, not realizing that walkers aren't carrying any money. A drugged up group/gang looking for money for more drugs? That's my best guess.

I was hoping for an update on their capture, but it's good to hear she is going to make it.

Am I the only one that thinks it is strange that there has been absolutely no update on this crime?
The victim is speaking with police and remembers the incident, but we have not heard
- if the white van was really involved,
- if it was gang related,
- what ethnicity/clothing description/body type they were,
- was it random,
- what did it mean that some were more involved than others,
- was there a catalyst (words exchanged, etc)
I have to admit that I am VERY frustrated at the lack of information. I can only hope that there is a strategy in place that keeps this information from getting to the public and that we get some resolution soon.

Well you know how busy they are in Loudon. Keeping notes on what cars are parked overnight, threatening people whose cars are perpendicularly parked on culdesacs, and they need to be well rested to stake out the bar parking lots at closing time. All of that and they still gotta have time for doughnuts. And you expect them to find some serial killers?
