LMAO! That reminds me of the poor folks who live in the TOWN of "North East, Pennsylvania," which is ironically in Northeastern Erie County in Northwestern Pennsylvania. If they say "I live in North East, Pennsylvania," people respond "Really?! I'm from Scranton!!!" LOL!

HAHA...theres a place in South-Central VA (right along the NC border) called "South Boston" that is often the subject of much confusion.

Me: Yep, im heading to South Boston to visit some relatives this weekend.
Them: Cool. You should check out a Celtics/Red Sox/Bruins/Patriots game while you're in town.

To me, Nova will always mean a Chevy. Am I the only one old enough to remember those cars?

Yes it's "Northern Virginia" not NOVA. There is a similar problem in Southern California with "the OC" for Orange County ...both nicknames are really annoying.

I think that it's ridiculous just for the fact that it really isn't "NoVA" if you look on a map.
