Drive by appraisal?
Someone pulled up to our house today in a white van and took a picture of our house. My husband went outside to check it out, and the guy said he was doing an appraisal. This sounds very strange to me because we just moved into our house in November, and it was appraised at that time when we bought it. Why would anyone be appraising it now on a rainy Saturday afternoon? We live in Herndon, VA if that makes any difference. And wouldn't a proper appraiser have to see the inside as well?
