I will be commuting from Burke VA to Chevy Chase MD. I need to be at work most days by 11am and some by 10am. I leave work around 7 pm. Will this be a nightmare or will traffic be relatively light during my travel times?

Traffic tends to still be fairly heavy through Tysons at the 10 am hour but it shouldn't be completely stopped unless there was an accident earlier that held people up during the main rush. I would say give yourself 45 minutes to be safe. In the evenings traffic is still pretty bad around 630 or 7 where the 270 spur merges with the outer loop of the Beltway. I've lived here five years and never really figured out why.
