Default Commuting from McLean to Alexandria

Hi,

I'm new here & I've no conveyance whatsoever. I wanted to know how I could commute from McLean to Alexandria using the metro.

MetroBus

Go to Metro - Home page and then use the Metro Trip Planner in the upper left corner.

Thanks for that. But the trip planner requires names of stations as opposed to the city/zip code.
There's no train in McLean & I know the bus goes to Tyson's Corner...from there I'm pretty much blank.
And I know, I need to get to King's Station in Alexandria. But if you could help me find the nearest station to McLean, it'd be great. And also how to get there, bearing in mind, i've just public transport to use. Thanks

West Falls Church is probably the closest train to Tyson's Corner, if that's the part of McLean you mean.

There are several buses (the 2 series have several) that commute very regularly between Tysons Corner Center and the Dunn Loring stop on the Orange Metro line.

I typed in Mclean and Alexandria and it provided options (I selected both bus and rail).

Example:
Itinerary 1

[-] Collapse
$ 3.40 SmarTrip Fare
  • $ 1.40 SmarTrip Fare (Senior/Disabled/Medicare)
  • $ 4.00 Cash Fare
  • $ 1.90 Cash Fare (Senior/Disabled/Medicare)
