Apartments for 3 months--internship (sublet, apartment complexes, lease) - City-Data Forum

My girlfriend and I (and our cat) are coming to DC from June-August for internships. I've been calling different apartment complexes I've found, however a lot of them seem to charge $300-400 extra per month for a 3 month lease. Are there any that don't? I've been checking craigslist but finding something there can be luck of the draw. Just need something that is close to public transport and preferably ~$1000/month.

Consider summer sublet from GT, or GMU, or Umd. Student. Should be less than normal.

I would post an ad on Craigslist saying that you are looking to rent for the summer.

Also, check CL multiple times a day, you never know what you might find.

Lastly, do you have any alumni connections? Many big schools have an alumni base here and maybe they could assist you in finding housing.
