Default Help from Some Real Estate/Aparment experts in the area

Hey All,

I'm looking for a new place to live and I found one offering a special (basically one month free rent on 13 month lease). Catch is they want me to move in by April 30. I can swing it if I had to, but I'd rather give myself less stress and move in from the June 1 -Aug 1 timeframe. They wouldn't give me a straight answer on how often they carry these promotions.

My question is, do most apartments run these types of specials year round? Is the timeframe I mentioned above worse for finding a good lease rate?

I can't say that I am an expert but I have spent the last four months looking at property listings (mainly houses but also apartments) and I have seen that offer listed fairly frequently in that time. My one piece of advice on apartments is to check websites that rate apartments - you would be surprised at some of the feedback.

Also, if you do find somewhere great, please let me know!
