Potomac Club (Woodbridge, VA) (short sales, foreclosures, rentals)

Hello All,

I've read a lot of the old postings from 2007 regarding the potomac club. I'm just wondering if current residents can provide updated information regarding the following:

1. Are you pleased with the overall community?
2. Do you wish that you had selected a community in fairfax county?
3. Are your neighbors pleasant?
4. Do you enjoy using the potomac club house?
5. Do you feel as though your HOA fees are too high or are they just right
for the amenities?
6. Are there noise issues?
7. Are there too many dogs on the property?
8. Is the community kept clean (i.e. proper trash disposal and pickup)?
9. Do you feel safe?
10. Were there any break-ins, rapes, murder, larceny, etc on the property?

I'm considering purchasing at the potomac club --perhaps in November 09.
All comments and feedback are welcomed!!

You're probably going to be better off checking the Virginia State Police's website for information regarding crime in the area. I also suggest going to the neighborhood and speaking with the neighbors since you're not getting much of a response on here. That area was hit pretty hard by short sales and foreclosures...so you may not be getting a response because of that.

If you go a bit further south (about 2 miles) down Route 1 and take a left onto River Ridge Blvd, there is a new development called Melody Landing that is better, in my opinion. A friend of mine bought there. You get a better product for a lower price and the Condo Fee isn't outrageous. There are 2 builders in that area. Brookfield Homes and Lennar. I think the Brookfield product is nicer. The models are gorgeous.

My husband and I have owned the Ryan model townhomes for over two years. We will be renting them within the next 60-90 days. To date, they have only been used as models and have never been lived in. They are both very upgraded and beautifully decorated. The rentals will handled by a professional management company.

Both units have 3-bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths.
