Default Indian Food

Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants with good Indian food? It doesn't have to be in NOVA, but it does need to be fairly close to the metro. I know there are a few restaurants in the DC area near the Adams Morgan Metro stop, but wanted to see if anyone had any particular favorites. I'm staying in Arlington at the moment...

You could walk from the West Falls Church metro to Haandi at Falls Plaza in the City of Falls Church (1222 West Broad). I'm not a foodie, but we've had good meals there and they're happy to do take out as well. It's in a suburban strip mall and doesn't have a lot of atmosphere, but it generally gets good write-ups.

If you're in Arlington try Dehli Dhaba. Pretty good food and I'm really picky. Fantastic naan, btw.

Heritage India in Glover Park just north of Georgetown off Wisconsin is by far and away the best Indian restaurant in the DC Metro area. There is another location in Dupont Circle that specializes in more vegetarian dishes; if you have a preference.

Passage to India in Bethesda or Minerva in Fairfax would be other alternatives. Also, if you wish to try Dosa, a South Indian delicacy, Amma's Vegatarian Kitchen in Vienna specializes in this.
