I was looking at a condo in this area and was wondering if anyone had any opinions on this area? I have yet to be able to visit NOVA, but plan on it before I move.

N. Van Dorn St. Alexandria, VA 22304

I know must of NOVA is safe, but I want to make sure I am near the safest part. The other areas I am looking at is Vienna and Oakton.

I wouldn't call it the "safest part" of NoVA, but it's not in any way unsafe. Some car break-ins but very little violent crime.

Here's a link to Fairfax County's police blotter:

You can see what sort of criminal activity is going around the area.

Well I would say that Oakton has less crime than Van Dorn. It's just really quiet out here. At the same time it's not like Van Dorn is in th hood so your life isn't in danger in alexandria. It's an alright area and closer to the city so I'd say either area is fine.
