Default Good French bakery in or near Arlington?

Hi, everyone, I would like to get as-authentically-French-and-delicious-as-possible treats for a brunch -- croissants, brioche, pastries, etc. I know about the Heidelberg and Randolph's but want to see if I can get a bit closer to what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any recommendations?

DCDubs28 is on a distinguished road
Le Pain Quotidien is a bakery/restaurant in Clarendon, just about 2 blocks from the Clarendon Metro station.

Yes - it is a chain, but it's a pretty good one. Their pastries and breads are incredible! The only bizarre thing is that they put the # of calories next to each item on the menu. So don't look at the menu

An interesting article in the WaPo food section this morning. Saint Michel Bakery in Rockville and at the Montgomery Farm Women's Cooperative in Bethesda on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings.
