By all means, please educate us. I would love to learn more about the Virginia law that states that if a Loudoun County officer gives a speeding citation, none of the revenue goes to Loudoun County.

As for driving too fast in VA, I wouldn't tempt fate if I were you. The cops are especially eager to give out reckless tickets these days, since they can usually pull in a lot of money with the $2500 max fine. Remember: Virginia is the only state in the country that has a reckless definition based purely on speed alone. Anything more than 20mph over the posted limit or over 80mph is considered reckless. In addition, there's an unwritten rule that if you are over 90mph you're likely getting a day in jail for every mile over 90. Finally, I'd be especially careful in Loudoun County, as they are known for being one of the toughest jurisdictions in the state when it comes to enforcing traffic laws.
If you're talking about the Abusive Driver Law in VA, that was ruled unconstitutional and repealed: FOXNews.com - Virginia Gov. Signs Abusive Driver Law Repeal - Politics | Republican Party | Democratic Party | Political Spectrum

Everybody speeds around here, it's a fact of life. Get used to it. I've had my fair share of tickets and I try to watch my speeds in residential neighborhoods.

Can you imagine the extra congestion if people actually drove the speed limit on highways? Ever see how backed up it gets when there is a cop on the highway? Everyone just paces the cop until the cop exits, and then back to speeding.
