I have read several times on here that car insurance is cheaper in VA is this true? We pay about $55 for each of our 2 vehicles both with full coverage and a $250 deductible a month. We also pay about $15 a month for our renters insurance. Will we see a difference in VA? Both of us have clean driving records, have been with State Farm for 16.5 yrs and when we move to NOVA will have no kids on the insurance.

It'll probably be about the same in Virginia, more in DC. Neighborhood, whether you have off-street parking, miles per week you drive...all of that matters. You'll get a discount if you use public transportation for commuting.
