Help, I just got a job in Winchester and my Husband has a job in Crystal City. Any suggestions on where to live? We are hoping my husband can take public transportation to get into the city and I will drive. We are looking at the Leesburg area and Manassas, any other suggestions or opinions on either place? We have only been here for 6 mos so we don't know the area that well. Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks!

From Manassas he can ride
the VRE train that has a stop at CC. If it were me, I'd live near the end of the VRE Blue line, the "Broad Run" station. That way, he gets his pick of the seating in the morning. I used to ride the metro system and it's dreadful to have a guy behind you sucking his sinus, coughing or breathing smoker's breath all over you, which is why I always tried to get a seat at the end of the car, where there was no one behind me.
This location puts you out on I-66, which you can take up towards Winchester. He can also find carpools from that area to CC.
