Default Commute between Annandale and Alexandria

I was wandering how long it takes in the morning rush between Little River Tp/Guinea Rd. and Kings Metro Station by car. Google gives me 20 minutes, but with traffic should I estimate longer? Could I avoid major traffic driving east bound on Little River Tp?

Is there any better solution using buses? So far I didn't find any, and most routes take me over the Pentagon station (major detour).

If anyone has some experience, I'd really appreciate some help! Thank you!

By Kings I assume you mean King Street. The Beltway usually runs pretty much at full speed mornings between Gallows Road and the Wilson Bridge. If you are in the center of Annandale, I guess 236 would be faster. Lots of lights though.
