Default Reckless Driving Loudoun County - went to court

I haven't seen any other posts with this situation, so I thought I would ask here. My husband went to court yesterday for reckless (speeding). He said the judge wouldn't even listen to him, but gave him a fine of $176 and 1 month suspended license. Today my husband put in a motion for a restricted license to drive to work and pick up kids, and it was denied. He didn't get a lawyer or take the driving class (yes, I know he should've ). This was his 1st reckless, but he had other speeding tickets from a few years back.

My question is, does he have any recourse now? If we got a lawyer now to appeal, would it do any good? He just needs to be able to get to work and pick up his kids (my step children which I can't always get to in time because of my work). Any advice or are we just out of luck?
Thank you!

Depends on whether spending money for an attorney is worth it or not. The appeal will take at least a month and it's likely he'll remain suspended. Might be best though if you called an attorney that specializes in traffic court in Loudoun VS relying to us.
