I definitely agree! I love our local critters, it's one of the things that makes Virginia special. And I love feeling connected to nature--especially in the summer when you start hearing that pteradactyl-like mating call of the foxes. It's like hearing locusts or seeing the lightning bugs, a sign that summer is really, really here.

Those are some bad-ass foxes and raccoons. I guess they're mad that the Second Amendment only lets us arm bears.....

On the garage door issue, there are devices that will automatically close the door after a pre-set time. My wife has the habit of leaving the door open, then calling me after she's halfway to work to tell me about it. (I work 20 miles from home. What am I supposed to do then? Thank God for neighbors!) I installed two of these gadgets and they work great! Just Google "automatic garage closer" to find some examples.

Default Wish I had a garage to close

Not enough land for a garage here. I do envy those stoarge pits...Did anyone post here about the gal that got shot at work at the Apple Store in Clarendon? Happened just before 4th of July. I wasn't around to read if it got covered--or covered up? I read the short initial story the other day but saw no more follow-ups as to whether anyone was caught yet?

Your lead in with "wish I had a garage door to close" was not an accurate description of your post.

What do garage doors have to do with the shooting at the Apple Store in Clarendon?

You have no basis to criticize my diversity thread if this is how you post.

Hahaha, I was wondering if maybe she was going to infer a raccoon committed the crime. They wear masks, after all...
