Reputable travel agent anyone? (Washington: how much, camping, transportation)

My husband and I would like to plan a trip to Alaska but the options seem overwhelming; I'd like to enlist the help of a good travel agent who can not only secure a great package deal for us but also has personal experience with some of the lodging choices...any recommendations?

Are you taking a cruise? Camping? We took an incredible cruise there on Princess a few years ago. I know a company that gets good cruise deals if you're interested but I don't use them for regular travel.

Ideally we would like to cruise some of the coast and then spend a week or so on land before returning home. I have heard great things about Princess as well as Holland America and would be interested in the name of the company that gets good deals. I'm on line looking but do feel like I need some help planning the trip.

Hi, and thanks for responding. I am looking for someone who specializes in or is very familiar with Alaska relative to lodging. I have read that when visiting Alaska it's a good idea to talk to some folks who have personally stayed at various places rather than just reading property descriptions. Also, we're hoping to find someone with personal experience with a great tour operator up there for day trips by air as well as by land. My husband is a pilot in his off time and is looking specifically for a day trip with an experienced bush pilot who can take us to a few off the beaten path places. How much Alaskan travel have you done and what, if I may ask, have you enjoyed the most and/or the least about it?
