Default evening commute to Clifton Va from DC

If you had to be in downtown Clifton at 7:00 pm on a Monday leaving from the Capitol, which way would you go [only have two people so I do not qualify for 395 HOV]:

66 to the Fairfax County Pkwy [HOV 2]
395 to 495 to Braddock Rd to Burke Lake Rd Clifton Rd or
395 to the Fairfax County Pkwy

395, Fairfax County Parkway.

If you leave right after 6PM you can use the HOV without 3 people. Parkway will be backed up the first 5 miles then not so bad...

My husband does this commute from the Capitol and he agrees that this may be the best option. It will take an hour if you leave after 6:00 pm.

Sorry, I missed that part of the original post. According to my husband, It will take longer than an hour if you leave before 6:00pm so build extra time in the commute.
