Default travel advice

Hi,
I am looking for some advice on travelling to and from DC. We are staying in Mclean and thinking we might use the metro to go back and forth.
Any suggestions? I believe the West Falls Church metro is the closest.
My only concern would be parking at the metro station?
Thanks!

West Falls Church is your best bet - it's close to McLean, and there are over 2000 spaces (surface lots and a multi-story garage). This being summertime, there are fewer commuters so you probably won't have to worry about getting a space; even if the lot is full in the early morning, there is a section of reserved spots that magically open up to the public at 10:00 am.

It costs $4.50 to park for the day, and you have to buy the plastic SmarTrip card to pay for it. (You can get the card inside the station - just be sure to load it with enough money for your fare and the parking fee. There is a map next to the farecard machines that will tell you what the fare is to each destination.)
