I refuse to call it Reagan. It will always be either DCA or National airport and IAD or Washington-Dulles. I prefer IAD over DCA though

I call it National. Reagan not one of my favorite presidents.

Is it possible to do a poll on this on the OPs first post? I'd like to see everyone's opinion w/o having to read this whole thread.

I was just talking about this thread on another forum, and began wondering if attitudes are still the same. How do our newer members feel? Do you call it Reagan or National--and does it matter to you?

I call it Reagan, but write it "DCA" ('cause I can never remember how to spell Reagan!)

It really doesn't matter to me what it's called though. Just like I don't care if it's MCI Center or Verizon Center, Jiffy Lube Live or Nissan Pavilion, etc. etc. Not sure if it's 'cause I wasn't here long enough to get attached to the old names, or if I just don't really care what things are named.

At one point I wanted to call it "PATCO National Airport" after the air traffic controllers union. That was way too obscure though. I saw some folks calling it "Reagan Deficit Airport" I usually call it National. If is a context where thats not clear and geography is useful, I say Washington National, a context where the formal name is more useful, Reagan National.

Calling it Arlington National is an intriguing option though.
