COX in Centreville
Hi
We are moving out to the area and will be in an apartment until our house is finished. We are thinking about the Post Corners and they have Cox internet. My husband works at home and a reliable, fast internet service is imperative. Does anyone have any opinions on Cox as an internet provider in Centreville? Also, if you have any opinions on Post Corners apartment, I'd appreciate that as well.
Thank you!

I never had any trouble with Cox internet. People have had complaints about the e-mail, but I never noticed it. But then I don't do much e-mail either.
People rave about Verizon FiOS, I switched, but I don't see where it's any better than Cox....a little cheaper though, at least for the first 2 years.
FiOS internet has one highly irritating aspect....pop-up ads for Verizon services. Cox never did that!

Install Firefox and you won't get the popup ads.

Post Corner Apartments are nice. But, if you go next door to Woodway at Trinity Center, that complex is just as nice and it is less expensive. We lived there for 2 years and enjoyed it.
Cox internet is terrible. Lots of outages and terrible customer service. Verizon FIOS is awesome and a far better option. The customer service still isn't outstanding, but you won't need it much because the connection is consistent and fast. Another option is DSL though Verizon. This is a better connection than cox with less outages, but it's a wee bit slower than a cable modem connection. FIOS is the way to go if you can get it. (And it's cheaper, too!)
