Default Stafford, Fredericksburg or Woodbridge Ideas??
I am in the final stages of interviews for a position in Alexandria. I will be relocating from Denver. I have found various single family homes and townhomes in the above neighborhoods that are affordable (around $1,800/month). It is just me and my husband in our late 40's. I would greatly appreciate information about these towns as well as what the commute would look like to Alexandria. If there is public transit? Thank you.

I live in Lake Ridge and when I was working in Alexandria, it was a 45 minute commute on a good day. I wouldn't want to live further south, unless I had flex schedule and could come in/leave super early.

Belmont Bay in north Woodbridge. The VRE is within walking distance. Just hop the VRE to Springfield metro and take the metro.
