Default Parking near Dunn Loring Metro?

Where can I park near the Dunn Loring metro (less than 10 minutes walk)? I need to leave from there around 8:50 so I was planning on getting there at 8:30, but all the spots will be taken in the parking lot.

Can I park on Cottage Street near Gallows Road?

I can't take the bus due to a complicated schedule.

Yes, you can park on Cottage Street as long as you are outside the Residential Parking Permit District which begins at roughly the T-intersection with Marymount Lane. There are signs. It's a little less than a 3/4-mile walk to the station from there. There is also a commercial parking lot directly across Prosperity Avenue from the west entrance to the Metro lot. It normally has spaces available well after the Metro lot has filled up.
