Default Tysons or Centreville

I found two apartment complexes both owned by the same rental property owners, one which is located in Tysons Corner and another located in Centreville right off of Rt 66. I work in SE D.C so where I'm living now (Fairoaks), I leave my house by 5am to beat the traffic and getting out of work by 230/3pm I can escape the afternoon rush.

Both units are priced the same, with the same square footage.

what would be the best place to shack up for a year? I'm looking to escape the noVA area and either try to get a job near Quantico (which is somewhat leaving noVA lol) or leave the area completely so this would be a temporary stay for a year at most, maybe 2 years at most. I'm single with no kids and not really planning on a family so no need to worry about the school systems. My g/f lives in Sterling so I think the commute from Tysons or Centreville to Sterling would be about the same. I like to go down to Bull Run Park all the time so naturally the Centreville location attracted me but Tysons is closer to DC, commute time wise so that's a big plus for work. The BIG negative to the Tysons area is the freakin construction they are doing with the HOT lanes and Metro expansion lines. Today I just heard they will be shutting down the intersection of 495 and Rt 123 for 30 minute increments throughout the daytime while they relocate some powerlines, so that will not be a fun commute in the afternoon. I don't expect that place to be clear of construction for another 5 years hence I'm leaning towards Centreville.

If it were me I'd choose Tysons because there are more driving options than 66. I can't stand 66 personally and I'd avoid it at all costs. Plus you have more going on in Tysons. Good luck with your decision.
