Default PATH power lines - Lovettsville

Hi all, I was house hunting in Lovettsville this weekend and we found several houses we loved but have just learned about the PATH power lines that are proposed to go basically right through the area of town we were looking. Our realtor is from Fairfax county and had not heard of it before. Can someone let me know the status of the project or any links to info on it? Looks to me like it's a huge problem for our top two houses so I am going to write them off, but would love to know more about the project...

Are you looking near Wenner Road? Yes, the PATH project will cut through some of that, but the power lines already go there. Send me a PM of where you're looking and I'll do my best to help. I can give you an email address of someone who has been very involved in trying to prevent the project. His blog is here and you can send him an email. Most all of Lovettsville will not be effected by the PATH project.

Also, this website has great maps of exactly where the lines will be.

Follow Denton's link to the allegheny pat page and look at the maps. They are very clear with aerial views. I typically refer to those when I'm appraising property which may be affected. Maryland just denied the request for the section there, although I doubt this will hold them off for long.
