We are in the process of getting estimates for a new heating (gas) and cooling system. Ah the joys of home ownership! I have been doing lots of research on types of systems, but I would appreciate any contractor recommendations in Fairfax County.

We had our air conditioning system replaced a few months ago by Michael & Sons. We were pleased with the customer service and installation from them. The Carrier high efficiency unit they installed is working great.

DEFINITELY call Shanahan's Heating & Cooling 703 321-9622 for a bid. (He's a Trane dealer)

Great service and nobody has ever come close to his bid. I've had him replace probably a dozen HVAC systems over the last 20 years (my house and my rentals).

Call Larry Williams at Airstream. He's had his own business for over 20 years. He installed new AC for us and new heating and did my friend's too. Awesome, honest, guy. (703) 753-3437‎

Thanks everyone! I should be able to get some good estimates with the information you all provided--much more reliable than picking random names from the Yellow Pages!

If you need replacement and got the estimate, let me know.
I know someone who can do it with low costs. He has done mine.
He is not licensed though. I guess that is one bad part but price can not be beat.
