I have heard Burgundy Farms is an amazing school, if you are going private.

My husband and I are relocating to this area. We looked in Fort Washington and absolutely loved some of the homes we saw. But, the schools are the drawback. We have two pre-schoolers and cannot afford the expense of private school. It's really a shame that this area suffers from a lack of quality public schools for residents. We don't mind that some areas are sketchy or even the minor crime. But, we can't take a chance on our kids' education.

Just as a reminder, general discussion about Fort Washington may be more productive in this forum: http://www.city-data.com/forum/washi...urbs-maryland/ . Comparisons between Fort Washington and communities in NOVA are more than welcome here.

The two posts that followed my previous one were moved to Maryland's "Suburbs of Washington DC" sub-forum under a new thread titled "Bock Hill section of Oxon Hill".
