My brother has a 16-year-old house in Cascades, built by MI Homes. Several windows now have broken seals so he's decided it's time to replace the windows.

Lowes told him they have a company policy against replacing windows in Cascades, Ashburn, or any of the newer developments. Apparently this has something to do with the original windows being "builder grade" vinyl windows. Does this make any sense???? I think it's a bunch of baloney.

Have any of you guys replaced windows in a newer home and if so do you have a company you'd recommend? We'd like to find a company that's been in business for awhile, and preferably one that has a showroom.

I'll bet some of you realtors know about window replacements. After all that's one thing people have to do to sell houses.

No suggestions? Surely someone has had to replace their windows. I sure hope someone can help us.

This Sterling company is in Angie's list.

Welcome to Creative Windows VA!

Lowe's services must be limited to replacing the windows within the existing frames. Lowe's must have had bad experiences with installing windows into original frames in that area.
