I lived there and where I thought a lot of the mgmt company and the condition of the property as a whole.....I had my car stolen TWICE. Come to find out that Alexandria is the mecca of stolen cars in the metro area

My friends have lived there for a few years. The one lived on Taney at first before moving to a 2-bedroom on Raleigh and always felt safe. I haven't heard of any complaints from her, except for sometimes smelling her neighbor's curry. The apartments can be a little older looking on the inside, but if you're getting a renovated apartment then that's not really an issue. Even still it's not that bad. If nothing else, there's a Pier 1 within walking distance for you to pretty it up with (believe me, I think my friend lives at that store sometimes).
