Many of the posts I have found are not up to date. It seems every year VA cracks down harder and harder on traffic violations. I think it is absolutly ridiculous that reckless driving is considered a misdomeaner ESPECIALLY in this area where it seems everyone speeds.
My husband was pulled over the other day doing 64 in a 35...no reason he was driving from one job site to the next down a suburban road (not residential)
His record is Clean, however years ago he had gotten a DUI in which he did loose his license for 3 years ($15,000) later after ASAP< the breathalizer in the car, lawyer fees, impoundment fees, court fees and time off work to go to court he served his time and has learned his lesson. However he is extremely worried how this will reflect in court ...we can not afford a lawyer, in fact due to a shut down restuarant we are this close to bankruptcy.
I have read all the other blogs about what to do but has anyone actually BEEN TO COURT in the last few months that can actually speak from experience>?
