Looks great for a new construction.

Question:
Is that Whole Foods a 're-purposed' and remodeled older building or is it a new construction meant to imitate and older building? Looks pretty good either way.

Great tour.
I believe another establishment used to be housed in the same Whole Foods building before Whole Foods took over. I could be wrong.

I have many happy memories of playing at Meadow Lane with my son. (We used to live in Fairfax, just over the Vienna border. I could walk to Meadow Lane on days I was feeling ambitious, but crossing over 66 was not my favorite pastime. There were, however, sidewalks the whole way.)

I made my mother-in-law literally gasp one day by driving through Vienna with her and telling her how much one of those tiny ramblers would cost But I love them, I'd live in Vienna in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the tour!

I ♥ Church St. ☺ - I only wish the historic part were longer. In any case, though, I enjoyed the tour!

Excellent tour! You did a great job capturing the feel and flavor of Vienna. Love the photo showing the older, smaller house between the two newer houses. I like seeing the eras mixed that way, it makes that street a time capsule.

Thanks for doing this. I'm glad you did this photo tour while walking around town, too. Good to see Vienna is still walkable (at least most of Vienna). I haven't been there for a long time, and I've been wondering if all the construction on 123 would create problems for walkers.

It use to be a lumber yard I believe -- it might have even been called Lowe's Lumber. But it is definitely an older building -- I remember it from the 1970's. There was also a cute store on Church Street called Curly's -- it was kind of an old fashioned general store -- sold blue jeans and hardware stuff and it was really interesting.

Whole Foods used to be a Southern States store.

I'd love to see photos of Vienna in the winter snow.
