weezycom is on a distinguished road
I've read through this thread and you've gotten a lot of good suggestions. My thought is move close to Tysons, say Pimmit Hills area on the Falls Church side so you can backtrack to 66 and out to the Fairfax/66 corridor or around the back roads to Spring HIll and the toll road and out to Reston/Herndon; or, you'll have express bus service to the orange line or a fairly short drive & park to get downtown on Metro. But, yes, for the next 5 years going on Route 7 east-west in Tysons is going to be bloody hell. Not the most upscale neighborhood, but there are probably going to be some older condos for rent at (for this area) reasonable prices, and older garden and tower apartments.
